We have designed, built, and installed precision levelers in almost every
possible configuration, application, and capacity. Our technical experts
have the know-how to guide you in the selection of leveling equipment
and to assist you in its integration into your specific process.
Herr-Voss Stamco® builds Precision Levelers® machines to handle virtually any gauge
range up to 3/4" thick. These levelers generally contain 17 or 19 work
rolls with penetration adjustment and bank adjustment. These adjustments
permit the strip to be flexed so that strip distortions such as waves
and buckles are removed.
Herr-Voss Stamco® offers levelers with an easy roll module removal system.
This permits an extended strip thickness and product range to be achieved
in a single leveling machine. This feature also permits the roll module
to be removed out of the machine for inspection, cleaning, and maintenance.
This is a big advantage when running a wide variety of products or surface
sensitive products.
The leveling work rolls are supported by precision antifriction roller
bearings in a "Four-High" configuration for products that have a non-sensitive
surface. Intermediate rolls, supported by the precision antifriction bearings
in a "Six-High" configuration can be provided for products with a sensitive
surface.
Because our team of engineers really understands the leveling process
and how leveling affects your products, we incorporate the latest design
features such as auto-positioning, auto-calibration, and quick-change
options to improve your productivity.
Our State-of-the-art CNC machining centers provide optimum quality components
that are assembled by skilled teams of craftsmen. We control the quality
of what we build with in-house manufacture of leveling rolls, back-up
roller assemblies, gearboxes, jacks, and other assemblies to mill duty
service factors for optimum reliability.
